Data submission

The IHFC welcomes contributions to the Global Thermal Rock Property Database (GTRPD). Researchers, laboratories, geological surveys, research institutions, and other data holders are invited to submit thermal rock property data and associated metadata for assessment and future integration into the database.

• Please use the current GTRPD submission template where available and provide as much information as possible on sample origin and geological context, lithology and composition, measurement method, experimental conditions, uncertainty, and data provenance. Original measured values should be reported wherever possible; corrected, recalculated, aggregated, or model-derived values must be clearly identified.
• Please upload the data together with relevant supporting material, such as the original publication, data description, or methodological documentation. Multiple files may be combined in a ZIP archive.

Submitted data will be reviewed within the Global Thermal Property Compilation Project. Original source information will be preserved, and any subsequent correction, recalculation, or harmonization will be documented transparently.

Please note: The GTRPD database structure, metadata standard, and quality and applicability framework are currently under development. Submitted datasets may therefore be used in pilot assessments and may require later adaptation to updated standards.
