International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC)

The IHFC is maintaining the Global Heat Flow Database. The commission is also developing and recommending standards and techniques for the determination of all parameters necessary to geothermal research, such as: heat flow, thermal properties of materials, underground temperatures, quantification of geothermal energy resources.
